With flexible process design and modular configuration, bagging machines can be manufactured in a variety of industries, including food, cosmetics, medicine and industry. The following are the main types of bag-dusters produced, as well as the characteristics, uses and typical bag-duster processes of bag-dusters:
I. Type of pouch, by structure
1.Flat bags
Features: Flat bottom, aligned opening, no handle or special function.
Uses: Small supermarket shopping bags, food packaging ( (e.g. bread, biscuits, etc.), roll bin bags.
Process: Hot sealing edge, collapsible or directly sealed bottom, support continuous roll break design.
2.T-Shirt Bag
Features: Extended handles on both sides of the top create a portable waistcoat shape.
Purpose: Shopping bags, takeout packaging, promotional gift bags.
3. Process: Processing profile cutting, folding and sealing simultaneously. Some models support automatic handle molding. Zipper Bag
Features: A reclosable zipper on top, strong seal.
Uses: Snack packaging (such as nuts and candy), cosmetics samples, stationery storage.
Process: The zipper is inserted the bagging process and is fixed by thermal pressure, requiring a special zipper insertion device.
4. Square bottom
Features: Square seal, vertical storage.
Uses: High-grade food packaging (such as coffee powder, tea), pet food, chemical raw materials, etc.
Process: using folding and multiple heat sealing processes to form a three-dimensional structure, requires high precision tension control to prevent deformation.
V. Stand-Up Pouch
Features: Horizontal seal or hem can be stored vertically, usually with zipper or nozzle.
Uses: Liquid packaging (e.g. juice, shampoo), soy sauce, freeze-dried food. Process: multi-layer co-extrusion technology is used in composite membrane bag making machine, which requires air or vacuum device.
6. Perforated Roll Bag (Perforated Roll Bag)
Features: Continuous roll, cloth bag with point thread connection, easy to tear.
Uses: Supermarket packaging, disposable gloves, shoe covers.
Process: add point knife after sealing, form tear line; support high speed roll production continuously.
ii. Type of pouch by function
1. Anti-Static Bag
Features: Surface coated with antistatic material to prevent electronic components damage.
Purpose: Packaging of integrated circuits, chips and precision instruments.
Bag making process: using Antistatic composite film to prevent electrostatic friction during bag making.
2. Vacuum Bag
Features: Vacuum packaging, extending the shelf life of food.
Uses: Packaged meat, seafood, pickled food.
Process requirements: vacuum pump, heat seal, single or multi-room vacuum designs. Retort Pouch
Features: High temperature resistance (121°C +), can be used for boiling or steam sterilization.
Purpose: Sterilized packaging of ready-to-eat foods such as ready-to-eat rice, stews and medical supplies.
Method: aluminum foil composite film, with a high barrier layer to prevent the infiltration of moisture and oxygen.
4. Improving air quality
Features: Inject specific gases, such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide, to stay fresh.
Uses: Fresh fruits and vegetables, cut meat, baked goods.
Process: after the production of bag-dusters, bag-dusters inflate, improve the atmosphere, modify atmosphere, which requires the adoption of a highly sealed thermalsealing process.
III. Bag by Material
1. Plastic bags
Material: PE (polyethylene), PP (polypropylene), POF (co-extruded film), PVC (polyvinyl chloride).
Features: Lightweight, waterproof, low cost, but difficult to degrade (must be used in combination with biodegradable materials).
Uses: Widely used in grocery, food packaging and industrial packaging. Non-Woven Bags
Material: Polypropylene (PP) sprayed non-woven fabric.
Features: Environmentally friendly, reusable, carrying capacity (e.g. over 20kg).
Uses: Shopping bags, promotional gift bags, display bag.
Process: Ultrasonic welding seals, no sewing is needed to prevent thread from falling off.
3. Laminated Bags
Materials: Multi-layer composite films (e.g. PET/AL/PE, NY/PE).
Features: High barrier (moisture, antioxidant, lightweight), suitable for long-term storage.
Uses: Packaging coffee powder, milk powder, medicine, chemical raw material.
METHODS: Film is prepared by dry lamination or solvent-free lamination technology, and then the bag is prepared.
IV. INTRODUCTION Introduction: Special bags
1. Octagonal Seal Bags
Features: Eight sealed edges create a three-dimensional structure that provides a large display area and allows for stand-up operations.
Application: high-end food (e.g., nuts, chocolate), pet snacks, etc. Process: multiple sets of hot-sealing molds are required to work together, resulting in complex but high value added processes.
2. Spout Pouch
Features: Plastic nozzle mounted on top for convenient pouring of liquid or slurry.
Uses: Juice, shampoo, jelly, toothpaste.
Process flow: hot sealing welding after sealing the bag, high precision positioning is required to prevent leakage.
3. Shaped Pouch
Features: Irregular shapes (such as heart or animal) for differentiated marketing.
Application scope: Children's snacks, holiday gifts, brand promotions, etc.
Process: using laser cutting or molding, can obtain special shape, the cost is higher.
V. Machine Selection Recommendations
High-speed production requirements: servo motor driven, multi-channel sealing machine (such as T-shirt packaging machine up to 300 pieces perminute speed).
Versatile requirements: Prioritise modular design, allowing mould to change quickly to create different bag shapes.
Environmental requirements: Focus on compatibility with biodegradable materials (e.g. PLA) and waste recycling systems.
Accuracy requirements: choose a machine equipped with photoelectric tracking and tension control systems to ensure pattern alignment and bag flatness.
